what if the person does not have a email to send pics to, can you send them the standard multimedia way or do all the pics from a side kick have to go to emails

Sending pictures to a regular mobile number 555-555-5555 (standard) will not work as the sidekick does not support picture messaging. All pictures send from the sidekick will have to be sent to an email address.

if you cannot send picture any other way than through email, why does the sidekick lx have that capability? my sidelick has picture messaging on it, but for some reason i'm not able to send pics. if anyone has an answer for me, it would really be appreciated

usually whenever some1 sends you a pic on a sidekick 3 or ID it will appear as a text message telling you to go to www.tmobilepicture.com and will give to a password to login to site. do you have sidekick LX or Slide or ID or 3? if you have a LX or slide you have to send 2 MMS (picture messages to your own number) to activate the feature, if you have the 3 or ID you will not sned/receive MMS on the device

"what if the person does not have a email to send pics to, can you send them the standard multimedia way or do all the pics from a side kick have to go to emails"ok i went 5 days ago and got me and my son the sidekick slide. since im a flex pay customer i had to cash them out (good law!!) i got 2 3n1 memeory cards and 2 bluetooths. so far im loving the phone my son madd he didnt get the lx but he still lovin his phn. the picture sending is mm and u can send in a email to. i was disappointed this phone does not have video capabilites i jus assumed 4 da cost it would lol. but i am able to view short video clips/aninmations. i wont be my internet package hooked up till the 17th and im pissed. cs said due to the fact i have flex pay there are certain periods when u can change your plan and unbeknowst to me i bought our phns exactly 24hrs after my switch my plan time window. so i have not enjoyed my favorite yahoo messenger and surf n da web. but what i have discovered that the data plan runs almost the whole damm phn. what i thought was glitches were due to the fact my data plan not activated. glitches such as power off the phn and my phn book disappear. thankful i can go to the sim center and put them back on my phn. but its very frustrating nonetheless. also the waitng for activation screen keeps poppin up frm time and to clear it i have to push the upper left key and the letter L at the same time and my hm screen pull up. also my myfaves are not on my phn 0 out of 1 found this valuable. i have my faves still on my phn just the icon is not there and i want to see dammit cause i pay 4 it. (yet again, not havin the data plan plays a part n that) now the mp3 play is very nice i have bout 200 songs so far but playing it sucks the life out my battery. i come frm usin a razer which i loved i might add but it was a lil rough gettin use to textin with two hands and i love my flip phones so i have to get use to a candybar style which i still dont care for but its coming along. overall im gald i got tjhe slide cause its different and not many folk want the slide. but i still enjoyed toyin around with lx that kick screen is Sweet i must admit. so being a first time sidekick follower has been fun, however dont laugh im still reading my manual and i carry it around like my wallet. oh yeah one more thing i dont like. my razer which was my baby, locked individual things up. such as my text and my pic!! lol i wont front my pics can be adult and my text and be racy too. so i dont like that all i can do is lock the entire phone (yet it tells u how to unlock it) and unless i put a 4 digit code on the phn. lets admit its always that friend that want to "see ur phn" and finger thru it and play round with it. so i wish with the upgrade they improve the security features for locking it.

ok im almost done i want a alarm on my phone and not have to use my calender as a alarm and i this phn dont come with a calculater. this might seem small to some but i use these features and i miss them on my phn. but overall my sidekick slide is a great phn i plan to continue reading my manual and figure out how to work this phone with ease cause i still hang folk up and cant figure out hiow to get back to certain areas on my phone...lol so i paln to read this site weekly to see what all i can learn and get tips frm the rest the folk on here. (sorry this is long and boring but i wanted to share)

Well the data plan is really imortant on the phone, it was made to have it (i wish customers are really told about it when you get the phone or thinking of getting it but sometimes they just wanna sell you something) thats how you see your myfavs but you can still call them and edit them (online) is you call em by teh number. t-mobile can refresh your myfavs interace but it will go away after teh phone is powered off. you can set up a secruity lock (3-digit) code on teh phone but it doesnt lock anything in particular. when you get the data feature activated on your phone you can get a calc on the download catalog (for free) and an alarm called "Time Traveler" (for a one-time fee of 4.99)

Well I do this and naturally it tells me I am not signes up for My Album. I cant sign up for it because I cant send a pic message. What ever happened to the random passwrd I used to get where I could log on to at least see the pictures??? I've called Tmobile for a week and a half now and they are no help. I unortuneatley had deleted the texts I used to get with the password and can't see my pictures./ Where can I get this password from and why doesnt Tmobile have this notated somewhere? Everytime I call they act like they have no clue what I am talking about. I Know I'm not crazy. HELP! 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

absolutely. im experiencing the same problem. extremely frustrating. i know we cannot send/receive mms from sidekick3 but i would like to at least view what we are sent. even if its on a website. whats up with that?

The Sidekick 3 does not support Picture Messaging or the My Album service. However, you still can access the myablum site but it is really hit or miss. Tmail is your best bet or an upgrade to the LX or Slide.

How do we access the my album site. It doesnt give me the password anymore and no one at T-Mobile seems to have any clue as to what I am talking about. THEY used to send me the damn password to retrieve my pictures but yet no one there knows it??

Let me get back to you on that, cromain. The My Album stuff is buried deep in the info reps get and very few ever get in deep enough to read it. My Album's a really minor portion of the service. But I know where to find the info and I'll dig it up and give you the scoop. (It's my weekend, so I need a few days.)

Hey guys I just bought a Sidekick LX on the 20th of June and I love it but I'm having trouble with MMS messaging. I've poked around the wiki and I've tried sending two 11 digit number messages from my album to my phone and still nothing, then I tried having a friend send me some pictures with 11 digit numbers and I'm still getting that I need to go to my album to see the pictures. Do I need to contact T-Mobile to get the feature turned on or what?
