Unlocking a phone means disabling the software lock that prevents you from using said phone with another carrier's service. If you put an AT&T SIM card into a locked Sidekick 3, it won't work. If you put a T-Mobile SIM card into a brand new iPhone, it won't work, either.

I have a T-mobile sidekick II, but can not use it, because it need a special code to enable sim.

Yes right, When i insert VN mobifone sim card, the phone ask you must be import the special code to enable sim card. As i know somebody can unlock Sidekick II by IMEI number. Actual i study more time from IMEI number but i can not unlock it. So have anybody can help me to unlock ??please kindly help.

T-Mobile does not provide the unlock code, and I'm fairly sure nobody has figured out (or taken the time) how to unlock Sidekicks otherwise. Sorry.

i just Post same a while ago. any sidekick can be unlock and can be use on any GSM network. only data portion will not work. I am in canada and using sidekick LX on Rogers network. I have mine done at Cellularclinic.com. Belive it or not right infront of my eyes. there procedure will not lock your sidekick if you take your battery out. hope this help for those who are frustrated looking for best unlocking method. good luck.
