Help Setting up IM

I am trying to set up IM on my Sidekick LX 2009 Unlocked aka Sharp Jump, which has a stand alone IM app. The thing is that i have never set up or used IM before and was wondering if there are any setting (XMPP server name) that need to be entered before I can login 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
