the data services were disconnected but i found a way around it.....go to net work settings then go to the network apn and then what ever carrier you have but in their apn and password and if you dont know it look it up on google..

will the apn settings work on an unlocked sidekick lx 2009?i just want at least web browsing on it, i have a data plan on tmobile right now, 4 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

I live in the UK and am on Vodafone (British Carrier). If I buy this phone, everywhere I have read it says that I will not have access to the internet at all, will this workaround that you have provided give me complete data access on the device? do you still have to pay for the internet even though your phone is already regitered? i have unlimited texting. i only have free calling on the weekends but during the week i have to wait until after 9 oclock so that i can call.... just to give you a little bit of information to answer my question...

There's no data plan whatsoever for the older Sidekicks, so I wouldn't even attempt it. I just sold off my LX 2009 to pay for a used Sidekick 4G. Learned the hard way there's NO way to get web on the older Sidekicks and even attempting it will bring you to levels of frustration, it's not even funny.
