We're getting SCREWED

We are being forced into buying tmobile ringtones are rediculously overpriced and limited. You cant transfer ringtones from ther phones with bluetooth, you cant set the mp3 music as ringtones. What do u have to do to get some cool ringtones like everyone else. 59  out of 65 found this valuable. Do you?

nothing. the original hiptop is able to record 10 ringtones. but t-mobile blocked that feature. grr. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

This is true;
I was loving everything about the SK3 until
this happened im very picky about my ring tone
and the ones they gave us suck!
ughh this really bites.We should call and
just beg to unblock everyday till something happens. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

yeah were pretty much getting screwed....and the only way that you can download ringtones is if you buy the sidekick internet service....do you know if there is any other way to get ringtones and stuff without the sidekick service?? 2  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Tmobile knew what they were doing when they came out with these sidekicks... Its such a great device but yet theres the whole ringtones issue that gets em every time.... I found a few ringtones in the catalog that I liked but still, im used to my old bb pearl days where I was able to make my own and send them to my phone via USB. There needs to be some type of way where we can make our own tones. Even if we have to pay a monthly fee or a per-use fee, I dont care... I spend silly money on other stuff, I can afford to buy some ringtones that i LIKE! 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree 100%.
If I knew this was how it was gonna be then I would have not spent money on this thing.
I still have about 10 more days to send it back but. I like it for the most part. I guess I was used to my old phone.
And their plan and service charges are way too high. 0_0 Do you find this valuable?

It's something on T-Mobile's end, not Dangers. T-Mobile is the one who is making you pay the high prices for your ring tones. Also, if you were to make your MP3's into a ring tone, then T-Mobile will have to deal with contracts and I'm guessing that's not what they want anyway. It's the high priced ring tones that keeps your data plan at a cheap affordable price (only applies to grand fathered owners), so I suggest you guys deal with it. Do you find this valuable?

hell the data service ain worth two cents, the web is so unreliable and slow it doesn't make any sense, shoot to tell you the truth im about to buy out my contract and head to verizon or at&t some with 3G and a reliable network and doesn't have all of these silly restrictions...hell even alltel has 3G 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That can be your personal opinion I guess. Go ahead and leave T-Mobile if you want, you'll just be paying more for data on an iPhone or a blackberry bold if you want something that comes up or is even better than the sidekick. I hope you know that the data plan isn't just web browsing and that it's IM, SMS, MMS, and E-Mail, which is a pretty good price for al of that unlimited. Have you heard how crappy AT&T's 3G network is right now? I suggest you start looking things up like you should have before you got your sidekick, instead of complaining. So yeah go ahead and leave T-Mobile and let's see how much better you are on whatever carrier you get on. T-Mobile has 3G as well, it's just that the sidekick does not support it....alright I'm done with you....... Do you find this valuable?

you right that is my opinion thats why I said what I said and where in my statement did i specify that i was going directly to at&t and by the way when you say they have a crappy network "thats your personal opinion" because im not talking out of my ass I have experienced there 3G and I like it just fine as well as Verizon and as far as the messaging things goes almost everyone has a problem with that too especially picture mailing, and another thing is Tmobile can have 3G on all the other phones they want to but when they dont have it on mine and mine is one of the most expensive phones they have somethings wrong so yea i will pay more to have what i want hell its nothing too me and thats another thing that eats me every other company has sense enough too have the best features on there best phones such as 3G the iphone, the blackberry storm but the sk is the only that fell through the loop i wonder why? can you answer that smart ass Do you find this valuable?

Do I look like the corporate to you? I'm just going off of what I know, not biased opinions from idiots like you. I never have a problem with my picture messaging so don't try and make it an all around sidekick problem. I'm sorry is that not a personal opinion of yours as well when you experienced 3G on AT&T's network? I think so. Do you realize what you write before you type it? It's not coming clear to me and like I said in the beginning, I'm not T-Mobile, so if you wanna write a formal complaint to them, then you can do so. Hopefully they don't send you back an automated response (hopefully they do, because you're so damn ignorant). Complaining and whining on a discussion forum isn't gonna get you what you want. It doesn't matter, your sidekick 08 is a downgrade of the LX. Sure it may have more RAM and a better camera, but it's still a downgrade from the LX. What makes you think they're gonna put 3G on a phone like that? You weren't discussing anything to me, you asked me if I could tell you why the sidekick doesn't have 3G, which is something that I can not discuss to you about because I am not T-Mobile. If you filed than a complaint then I am more than happy that you did it, it's still not gonna get you anywhere. You're fighting a battle and loosing so far....anything else you wanna throw at me? Didn't the mod say to cool it down? Why don't you stop with the caps it can get annoying to read. Do you find this valuable?

i just wanna say when i talked to tmobile they said the 08 was better because of the price &; size
they do pretty much the same thing so how is the 08 a downgrade from the lx? Do you find this valuable?

LX is bigger with a bigger screen, a flash on the camera, and a few other things, for what it's worth. Also more expensive. Depends on what you want, really. Do you find this valuable?

Hmm let's see. No flash, smaller screen, no mood lights, which makes it a lot cheaper than the LX. It pretty much is a downgrade because it seems to me like it's an upgrade from the sidekick ID, and the sidekick ID seemed to be a downgrade from the sidekick 3. The '08 seems to be almost the same thing, just not that noticable, but definitely there. Do you find this valuable?
