"Hmm let's see. No flash, smaller screen, no mood lights, which makes it a lot cheaper than the LX. It pretty much is a downgrade because it seems to me like it's an upgrade from the sidekick ID, and the sidekick ID seemed to be a downgrade from the sidekick 3. The '08 seems to be almost the same thing, just not that noticable, but definitely there. "your right about that but.... although the sidekick 08 dosent have a flash a big screen an mood lights. it does have a 2.0 mega pixel camera the lx only has a 1.3, it dosent have a big screen BUT.... it's smaller in size an less bulky. It dosent have mood lights but it does have customizeable shells. i dont see any downgrade. Do you find this valuable? |

The mega pixels on the sidekick cameras don't even deserve to be named to define how many pixels they have. The lenses on these cameras are so crappy and are the lowest form of lenses you can get on the market. Ask for the shells, it's a lot cheaper to make plastic then a chrome plate and mood lights that activate whenever you receive a text. Have you ever felt like your screen was gonna fly off with your sidekick 08?

"i just wanna say when i talked to tmobile they said the 08 was better because of the price &; sizebasicly thats the samething they told me "dont waste your money on the lx because its foolish when the 08 does the samething and it looks better" and that was from the salesman and i agrees with on the flash they should have added one on the 08 model but mood lights i could do without and the screen is ok with me, when i was trying to decide on which one i wanted; the 08 seemed to more sturdy or duriable to me than the lx. Do you find this valuable? |

Have you ever felt like your screen was gonna fly off with your sidekick 08?"actually no i havent the 08 was exactly what i was looking for to be honest. i have a friend that bought the lx an was dissapointed when she found out the 08 was cheaper an did the exact same thing. im just saying i dont believe the 08 is a downgrade, The lx has stuff the 08 dosent an vice versa. Do you find this valuable? |

No flash and yet takes just as good if not better pictures than the lx, smaller screen yet better resolution than the lx, as for the mood lights, do you mean the different colored lights that come out on the roller ball? If yes, then SK08 does have it. Overall functions are great for the price, a bit bang for your buck if you're able to get it at $100.00 if great credit and send in the mail-in rebate, which I did. Smaller and sleeker than the bulky eye sore that is the lx. My son was just born and in half way decent light, not fully lighted room, it took phenomenal pictures. This phone in no way a downgrade from the lx as countless others have said on numerous other forums such as this. As it has already been made clear, everyone has their opinion but the overall opinion is this phone is superior to the lx and I know plenty of people or have heard of many people say they've gotten rid of their lx in some way shape or form to get the SK08. Overall great phone, only fault as everyone has obviously noticed, unable to use mp3 or wav files as ringers.

Ppl ur insane!!!!! screw the whole t-mobile thing!!! i hav att and i hav a sidekick. Just get the sidekick get it unlocked and u get awesome serivice cuz it is att. So i hav 3G but i still get m ycoolio sidekick

You know, if you think your unlocked Sidekick is getting 3G, that just shows how crappy AT&T's 3G network seems to be. If people are expecting 3G and they think the speeds they get on EDGE are thanks to 3G, AT&T has serious problems on several levels.Plus... can you browse, RiverBelow? Or download any apps? you can send ur sidekick 2 sharp and they can unlock it 4 $40 it will workk fine and everything but if u switch 2 att then u should just get the quickfire its like a sidekick and its touch screen
