so bascially you have to have internet to get on AIM on the sidekick?

cos' thats what tmobile said. but, on the other phones - you didnt have to have internet to get on aim or any of the other messangers.. Do you find this valuable?

Yes, the Sidekick is special. You need the Internet plan for pretty much anything except for calls and text. Do you find this valuable?
