Trying to unlock my sidekick lx 09!!!!!!!!

Ok. I bought an "unlocked" sidekick from Ebay in july. He said that i could put in any simcard and it would work. I live in Norway so it took a while before i got my Sidekick lx 09.
When i realised that it did'nt accept my simcard i bought the code for my IMEI # for 80$.
And after a month i got the code for the phone.
I asked the one who sold it , why he said that it was unlocked. And he said it was unlocked in USA.

Ok so i'm trying to unlock the sim.
I have a prepaid simcard from Norway, (we have the same GSM as in USA). And i know it would work.
Everytime i put in my simcard it says: push your pin. and when i push the pin everything is "OK"

But when i do everything they say i have to , to unlock the phone . It starts to Authenticate, and turns it self off EVERYTIME!
Why does my phone authenticate and shut down.

Where can push in the special IMEI code i bought?
I know everything that they ask me to do, but i dont get the chance to push the imei special code.

Can u help me pleaaaaaase. I've had this phone for almost 3 months and it's not working. Do you find this valuable?

I know when i unlock it, it will only work for calling and texting and that OK..

Is my phone broken or something??

The one who sold the Imei # code to me, said that i maybe did'nt have the right GSM, and the phone finds my network but it starts to authenticate again and shuts it self down.
And then he said that maybe my sim is broken . ( No my sim is working because i can use it in any phone)

The sidekick is working perfectly , except from the network, sim etc.
