Waiting for activation

I have a t-mobile act. & i recently got a sidekick id from a friend for my daughter but when I put the sim card in all it says is waiting for activation and this has been more than 48hrs. I just need it so she can make calls & text her friends. Will she be able to get her fave 5 on it as well? Please help. Do you find this valuable?

I had mine do it over night, but if you hit the option button (top left button) and "L" at the same time it'll skip the activation, you'll have to do it anytime that comes up. Do you find this valuable?
