still waiting for activation

I have at&t as my carrier. I put in my SIM card, but the screen says it is waiting for activation..I can not do anything with the phone right now, but I have recieved incoming calls and voice mails. How can I get past "waiting to activate"? Do you find this valuable?

Push Menu + L to bypass it. It'll never get past it normally due to the fact that AT&T doesn't offer Sidekick data service. Do you find this valuable?
