Text Inbox not recognizing saved numbers or making sound
Oct 3 2009, 12:10 PM EDT | Post edited: Oct 3 2009, 12:10 PM EDT
Just yesterday, for no obvious reason, my Sidekick LX has started 3 new problems.
-Text message inbox only lists numbers, doesn't recognize the numbers I have saved and list the name instead.
-No sound or vibrating alert when I receive a text message, even though I have checked the settings.
-And will not access the internet.
I have tried taking the battery out, taking the sim card out, and nothing works. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

i've been having the same issue and so have many others. usually when a lot of people have the same problem its the company's fault. we just kind of have to wait until they fix it. Do you find this valuable?

Hold tight. There is obviously something going on with the network. This will happen if there's a problem getting all Sidekick services together. Do you find this valuable?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the problem. Ever since the network went haywire, my sidekick has been doing crazy stuff. I really wish they would get it all fixed. This text message stuff is the most annoying. Not to mention it deleted a lot of my picture mail I wanted to keep. Do you find this valuable?

our "smartphones" are basically only good for texting. And you better have an address book handy Do you find this valuable?

The service should be working now. Do you have the data package? If not, guess what, it'll never do that.
