ok my sidekick has been saying its been connecting for bout 2 hours or so && i tried turning it off but wen i turned it backk on it didnt help anything Do you find this valuable?

Mine has been doing that since about 6am. I even took the battery out, so now my phone says its Jan 1.. great. I called TMobile earlier, they said it was a known issue but couldn't give me an E.T.A Do you find this valuable?

is anyone Else's phone in addition to not being able to connect the internet just being a piece of crap...I'm not getting any notification when I get a new even though it is said to make a sound when I get a text...also on texts the in-box shows the number of who sent me the text not the name even though they are saved in my contacts!!!! SO ANNOYING! Do you find this valuable?

Mine has been acting up since Wednesday night. First the thing would not ring when I got calls (which they sent me out a replacement phone for) and now that I have the replacement phone I cant even register it because of this data service mess!! This is the second replacement I have had to get because of technical issues... this is becoming very discouraging. My bill is WAY to high per month not to be able to utilize the services I pay over $120 for!! Do you find this valuable?

This is a network issue and has nothing to do with your phone. It'll work just fine once this is fixed.

And regarding credit, I've no idea--call 611 and ask. But don't yell--it's not the fault of the person who answers the phone that this is happening. Do you find this valuable?

Of course I know that it is no one persons fault unless they built the sidekick and the network themselves... its just discouraging to keep paying my bill in full and on time just to have numerous major complications. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, it's going on with everyone's sidekick. I went to a t-mobile store and they said it's a data service issue and it's going to be fixed today (October 4th) around 3 pm CT.

But i'm really fed up with t-mobile lately. My sidekick doesn't vibrate, or ring whenever i get a text message and this one lady on the phone keeps assuring me that it's because of the data service and it will start working when the data service is up and running... which obviously isnt true because its a hardware issue not a network issue... its like they have no common sense at customer care, wherever that is... Do you find this valuable?

and the guy at the store tried fixing the vibrate so he took the battery out of my phone and now all my contacts are gone... i'm hoping they're going to be back when all this bullcrap is over... Do you find this valuable?

I'm having the same problem and have been for a few days, and my contacts all disappeared when my phone died and haven't come back yet. Do you find this valuable?

No, actually, it IS true. Text message sound/vibration notifications are dependent on the Sidekick data service (for some reason). Trust me. When this is fixed, your Sidekick will ring on messages. And the guy in the store is not trained on troubleshooting Sidekicks. Your contacts will redownload when this is all sorted out. Do you find this valuable?

OMG -- I am so glad that I am not the only one! I use my phone for business, so it makes it REALLY hard to keep messages straight...and now I can't check my email or get on the internet...until this is fixed, I am confimed to my office (which thank GOD I can still get calls or I'd be so screwed), when I should be out at other business meetings...because of this, we are adding a land line to our office just in case I can't get any calls later on due to data service problems. That's another bill that I don't need, but I can't afford any other myhaps either! My business partner just laughs and says "You should've got a Blackerberry..." ANNOYING isn't even the word...this is just adding another level of difficulty... Do you find this valuable?

same here. i had a g when i woke up this morning and i stupidly decided to turn my phone on and off to see if my contacts and stuff would load quicker. nope. now im back to 2 dancing dots. AGAIN... for the 4th day. this is rediculous, my phone is basically unusable... Do you find this valuable?

ahh i've been freaking out at home because i've been having so many problems lately with my phone and my parents want to make me switch to verizon but i love the sidekick. i didn't want to tell em about the probelms so i'm so glad i found these answers!
i've had the "dancing dots" for about 5 days now and it's getting on my last nerve. i can't get on the internet, my phone doesn't vibrate when i have a message until after 5minutes when it usually does if i haven't checked it yet, and it just shows the number of the person texting me, not their name. so thank goodness i still have my contacts (so far) where i can look up the numbers. but my battery definitely has a much shorter life now which is frustrating.
hopefully this problem is fixed today but it's already 615ET which is past the expected time it was supposed to be fixed. Do you find this valuable?
