HELP!! Unlocked Sidekick Slide from ebay!

I purchased a unlocked side kick slide from ebay....i purchased a prepaid sidekick sim from a tmobile store (which is one dollar a day for data, and 15 cents per minut on calls before 7) I inserted it on Saturday, today Is Monday and it still has not fully activated....I cannot use the web, my numbers will not save and everytime i take the battery out I lose EVERYTING that I thought I saved.....will it ever fully activate?

Call 611. It should take up to 48 hours tops. Also, check your balance with #999# to make sure you have a balance for the dollar a day to work. And by the way it's 15 cents per minute ALL THE TIME.

And by the way it's 15 cents per minute ALL THE TIME."thank you for responding, I called 611, they told me to go to the tmobile store and try my sim card in another sidekick....they say that if it is the phone I cant have it replaced but if its the sim card the will have to fix something! does it matter that the phone was unlocked?....the ebay seller also has a locked one, should i exchange the unlocked one for the locked one??? Ask the seller if they tinkered with the settings. T-Mobile's not going to support changes the seller made when unlocking it.

Sidekicks work with prepaid just the basic text and phone capabilites. There is no need for activation. Hold the menu button(top left) and press L. Take care

i was told by tmobile that the data plan should work on the sidekick, and they also said that the reason it may not work is because the ebay seller unlocked the phone...so i sent it back to exchange it for a locked phone.

I HAVE T-MOBILE ACCT BUT I AM OVER IN IRAQ AND I WANT TO USE MY SIDEKICK PHONE. BUT WHEN I PUT IN THE IRAQI SIM CARD, THE PHONE SAYS TYPE IN SPECIAL CODE TO ENABLE THE SIM CARD. DO ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE CODES IS?
