Trackball doesn't scroll in browser but works if I close the browser

my trackball stopped scrolling my web pages up and down but it works outside of the browser perfect. Did I somehow lock it from scrolling in a browsing or change the settings of how you scroll in a browser please help thanks? Do you find this valuable?
