Justintr	2008 and Slide Master Resets Apr 13 2009, 6:48 PM EDT Okay so im selling both my 2008 and slide on ebay and I need to know how to completely restore the factory settings. And whereabouts is the reset hole located on each? I looked over this site and it kept redirecting me to a page that had nothing to do with resets. RE: 2008 and Slide Master Resets Apr 13 2009, 7:22 PM EDT \| Post edited: Apr 13 2009, 7:33 PM EDT works same for all sidekicks. setting>system info> (shift +menu+ r and click "erase") then (shift + menu + x and click "erase") and you done. next step: 1. turn it off and take your sim cards out 2. turn it back on and do a soft reset (@ 1 0) at once. 3. hold the "r" down and dont let it go until AFTER you see the button icons appears on the screen. 4. it will rebooted once again. 5.check to see if your information is completely whipped out in system info- meaning if your username and others says "not available", its done whipped.(which i assure you it will) then last step: you need to call tmobile cust. service to have them detach imei number off your both sidekicks to have them disactivated fully then your good to go to selling them both. thats what i just did. bec, im about to selling mine too, soon. :o) hope thats help and good luck. RE: 2008 and Slide Master Resets Apr 13 2009, 8:15 PM EDT \| Post edited: Apr 13 2009, 8:24 PM EDT oh okay. well, i usually dont call tmobile for that since ive done it myself few times and only once time i called them to do that to check and see if its completely cleared like if its a new sidekick and it did as they said i dont need to call them to detach imei number off(only call them if it dont whipped out properly) because ive done it already as i did the first & second steps, so yeah. so, no worries. just make sure you do that first & second steps processing few times TO MAKE SURE ITS FULLY WHIPPED OUT. so, its fine, really. RE: 2008 and Slide Master Resets Jan 19 2010, 1:50 PM EST When i do this, the time after i put my sim card back in, before it lets me do anything it resets and the sign in from a previous owner is still there. I've done everything that it should be working as stated, but the Username for the phone comes back only when i have my sim in it. Post reply Do you find this valuable?
