Is it file type or file size why we're unable to have ringtones?
Mar 17 2009, 1:31 AM EDT
I ask this, because I am aware of a program that makes any song into a ringtone size. If it is because of the file type, I'll do more research. If I am able to put my own ringtones on the SK08, I'm still in a dilemma if I can't place in the correct file on the phone. Will this post cause an uproar? That'd be fun!!! Tee Hee

No, it's actually because the memory storage allocated for ringtones is in protected space that isn't accessible from, say, the memory card. The decision has also been made, somewhere along the line, not to build functionality into the Sidekick operating system to allow access to that storage for the purpose of setting up custom ringtones.
