Emailing on Sidekick 2008
Mar 9 2009, 10:54 AM EDT | Post edited: Mar 9 2009, 10:54 AM EDT
I just got this sidekick and I'm considering cancelling before my 20 days is up. Everything works but the 3 email accounts that I set up on my email tab does not work. I know I have email messages in my yahoo and Hotmail, BUT it is not showing on the email tab. Hotmail does have a pop server and it is pop3.live.com you have to register for windows live. Hotmail is my main email address. I have it set up that hotmail sends me alerts when I receive emails, but I get it as a txt message and nothing is showing under the email tab. This is so annoying. I spent 2 hours and 40 minutes on the phone with T-mobile trying to resolve this issue, they couldn't. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to resolve the issue? Do you find this valuable?

I got my sidekick two days ago and have the same problem. I am going to try this solution. When you say soft reset, you mean powering off then taking the battery out , as opposed to a hard reset which is taking the battery out while the power is on? Do you find this valuable?

hi and welcome. :]

yeah, you got that right about hard reset. :] and as for soft reset, its @ 1 0 as mizzahjelah said. :]
or you can just turn off the power and turned it back on if you prefers that.

so, enjoy your new sk08 while you can.

Thanks for the love. this site is great. I have wanted a sidekick since 2003=2004. My first cell phone was on t-mobile, before the sk came out. I moved to sprint ( garbage ) and now on verizon for my main phone, but I had to satisfy my craving and get a sk08 gekko just on the data plan cuz i have been in love with the device. I finally got it on monday and i love it!!!! Do you find this valuable?
