I just bought a sidekick from ebay and I was wondering if when you get sidekick prepaid if you have to use your credit card to pay the bill and where would you go to pay for the dolar a day?ohh and how would you buy ringtones with prepaid? Do you find this valuable?

There is no bill on a prepaid device. You have to go to a store that sells T-Mobile To Go Refill Cards. From there the dollar a day plan will take into effect. Every day, a dollar will be taken out of your account which enables you to send/receive IM, Email, Text, and unlimted usage of the web for that entire day. The only thing you will have to pay for is calling.

Say for instance you buy a 50 dollar refill card at Target. You will have to purchase at the cashier desk and scratch off the silver like tape on the back which will reveal the number. The instructions on how to refill your phone will be on that card. Once you punch in the code, you should be all set with 50 dollars on your account. Remember, regardless if you choose to use data or not, the dollar will be taken off daily.

The dollar a day charge comes from your prepaid balance. Think of it as a small bank account that you carry money in. As kickitLX describes, you need to apply refill cards. You can also refill by credit card directly in the system.

Ringtones deduct directly from your prepaid balance.
