SIDEKICK LX MEMORY CARD DONT WORK

i put my memory card in my fone it dnt read it but my fone dnt read memory cards either i bought a brand new 1 gig n it says "the inserted card cannot be read. please use another card." i put my 1st memory card in my cuzzo fone n it worked but it had some pics wit a "X" on some. can somebodii help me ASAP
