sidekick lx doesn't alert me on a new message.

Hey, I got a sidekick lx from my friend, and no matter what i do, I can't get the sidekick to vibrate or flash whenever i get a new message.When I go to the "New Message Alert"(I set it to pulsation, and I tried other ones), it works when i preview it, but not when I actually get the message. 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

This is a known issue, and right now, yep. It's going to be fixed in a future update, but, yep, without the plan, it won't alert on incoming text messages. I'll post a workaround tonight.

I'll post a workaround tonight."That's kinda messed up... Why would a data plan be required to alert you when you get texts? I set it to alert 2 minutes If i still have a text, and it works. It's a KNOWN ISSUE. It's supposed to. It's a technical problem.

"That's kinda messed up...thats what i said! same issue on the sk08, i guess its all sidekicks. sidekick looses cool points in my book 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

so in a future update the sidekick will alert u when u have a message even when u dont have a data plan
