My memory card is corrupt? Please Help!

I have a sidekick gekko, i've only had it for about a month (i had the sidekick 2 before) anyway everything was going fine with my memory card i had music, themes, and youtube videos on my card. I hadnt had any problems at all. than the other day i was watching one of the youtube videos i had download on my sk and my phone just died ( it had a full battery). when I restarted it everything was gone off my memory except my themes.(all my pictures, music, videos, needless to say i was really upset) I couldnt believe it. and within a minute of finding this out up at the top of my screen its said i was getting an ota. so at first i blamed it on the ota. but now im wondering if its actually from the video i downloaded that i had been watching when it crashed? i rebooted my phone a few times hoping everything would reappear. but no such luck. so I tried to take a picture and it said it saved to my memory card but when i looked it wasnt there. now nothing will save to my memory card. I put the card in my computer this morning figuring i would just have to put everything back on it. so i dragged one picture over and it went on but than it said "cannot copy the file or directory is curropted and unreadable". i have no idea whats wrong with it! has anyone else had this happen? any advice? please help! Do you find this valuable?

Flash memory has a finite number of reads and writes. However, separate from that, it seems that your card's filesystem got corrupted. Plug it into your computer and reformat the Removable Drive (the mem card--it won't format your Sidekick). If that doesn't work, get a new memory card.
