GENERAL SLIDE QUESTIONS.

Ok so, i'm a Slide user from the Uk. Unfortunatly it's the only one that's been brought out over here as of yet. Gutted!But i've noticed the Slides arn't being sold in T-mobile stores anymore. Now I know they had problems when they first came out and had to be re-called then it was re-released when the tech problems were fixed. But my speakers for the second time have broken (more my own fault that SideKicks) so i'll have to take it in and get it replaced. But will there be anything to replace it with!? Also my contract is almost up soon and as i remember T-mobile said i could either go on pay-as-you-go or stay on contract and as an incentive to do this my sidekick would get upgraded to what ever the new one out at the time is. But i've seen no sign that any of the new Sidekicks are being released over in the UK? Anyone heard anything about that? And one last question, honest! The Bluetooth. WHAT IN THE FUCK DOES IT DO!? Seriously, in the Uk we have bluetooth so we can send each other pictures, backgrounds, themes, ringtones all for free.. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this! I've all but given up hope on this. I've noticed that I can only download (for a very hefty price each) ringtones/Alerts etc in the Slide's catalogue, that are like 10 seconds long.. *rolls eyes*. But you can only have 4 at a time! Then you have to delete one's you've bought for £3 and buy another bloody one! Now is this just me but usualy with other mobiles you can have loaads of ringtons etc stored on your phone. I know you get ones provided for you, but i want my own choice of ringtones! Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated. Having said all this, I still love my Slide. Best phone i've ever had lol <3 'Bee. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I duno about T-Mo UK, concerning replacing it, or switching to pay-as-you-go. Better ring them up on it.SK BT lacks file transfer profiles for Bluetooth. It basically only connects to hands-free and car kits, and it can transfer vCards. And, that ringtone situation sounds a little worse than the US case, but, yeah, don't get a Sidekick if ringtones are your life above all else. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Aye i've got an appointment at the T store to take it in tomorrow and get it all seen too. Just thought i'd ask around first so I knew a little more before I took it in.And cheers for the Bluetooth info, saved me many more days of trying to figure it out lol. Sidekick slides are discontinued in the UK. apparantly if it brakes and issent to insurance or whatever our replacement is a G1 There discontinued due software problems, so i took mine in and they refused to replace it. boo! what are the newest updates btw? my catalogues not got any names artists now D: taa x. Do you find this valuable? |
