Transfer music from iTunes
Sep 27 2008, 10:28 AM EDT | Post edited: Sep 27 2008, 10:28 AM EDT
Hey.. for most of my music in iTunes, I can right click on a song, Open in Windows Explorer, then drag the file into the music folder for my Sidekick. But, if the song is a track that I PURCHASED from iTunes, it wont play on the Sidekick. I know that these are protected tracks and normally you can allow it to be played on up to 5 systems. Is it possible to set up the Sidekick as one of the systems to play on? 11  out of 13 found this valuable. Do you?

No. Apple is very strict, and since the Sidekick is not capable of running iTunes, and it's not an iPod, Apple will not let you play DRM-protected music on your Sidekick.

However, you might have some success by burning the protected music to a CD and then using a different program (say, Windows Media Player, although there are hundreds of others) to rip the songs back as unprotected mp3 files. But you didn't hear it from me.
