having problems with ur SK?
Jul 11 2008, 4:39 AM EDT | Post edited: Jul 11 2008, 4:39 AM EDT
no matter wut the problem is with ur SK, jus call tmobile and speak to the SK dept. tell them u wanna do a warranty exchange due to damage or malfucntioning. all u have to pay is the shipping. its not an insurance issue. As long as u have had the phone less than a year u can exchange it.

i had my phone replaced 4 times already. and after so many times u can exchange for a different phone if you want.

Thats questionable. You can try and call, but technically, the manufacturer's warranty is only good for 1 year from the original owner's purchase date.
I honestly don't know if that'll work.

Do you have to prove a malfunction or do they just simply exchange? 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That will most definitely NOT happen unless you purchased the phone in that store less than 2 weeks prior and still have the box, manuals, cords, accessories, and receipt. No one is just going to exchange it for nothing without proof of sale.

As for proving a malfunction, how does ANYONE prove that over the phone? They have to take your word and check it out when it arrives. I will tell you that if they find some sort of person-inflicted damage, they WILL add $100 to your bill for replacement.

You didn't get charged anything because there was something wrong with the phone that you couldn't have caused, something internal.
They will charge if they find water damage or if it looks like the phone was dropped excessively or exposed to extreme heat.

I think I'm repeating myself:
IF YOU DIDN'T CAUSE THE DAMAGE TO THE PHONE, YOU WON'T BE CHARGED.

Actually, you have 100 dollars to lose if they find out that you caused it. Its not 'worth a try" unless you think its something that for sure couldn't have happened by user error. If you dropped it in a puddle and it doesn't work anymore, they are going to charge you 100 bucks because it was your fault. There are several water damage indicators. But if you send it in, they aren't gonna tell you they're charging you 100 dollars and you'll find out when your bill is 100 bucks more than usual.

YOU ONLY GET A FREE REPLACEMENT IF THE DAMAGE WASN'T YOUR FAULT.

If the problem is with the charger port, could that even possibly be person-inflicted? I didn't get this phone directly from t-mobile, so if there's a possibility it isn't a phone malfunction, I'm not even going to bother bringing it to t-mobile, I'll go to a repair shop. Do you find this valuable?
