No it doesn't matter. And next time you're answering someone's post, press "reply" instead of "new thread" Do you find this valuable?

I think it does mess up the screen when you open it like that cause your kinda putting pressure on the hinges and I think it could mess them up. So I would open it from the top. Do you find this valuable?

That would be dumb on Sharp's part, since there is a slightly raised bump to act as a place to grip your thumb while pushing up. I think you shouldn't worry about it, since there will be a new one out soon. LOL Do you find this valuable?

I may have spoke too soon. It has been about 3 minutes since I wrote what I did above, but no my SK LX Hinge has started making a weird platicy grinding clicking scraping noise. Any idea.

P.S. the phone is 4 days old.

Karma' a b!!
Lol, just playing. You probably got some dirt/sand in there. If it wasn't doing it from the beginning, I doubt it 's a hardware malfunction. Also, the hinges COULD be too tight. But that seems absurd.

It does not matter at all. You can do it both ways without any damage. Also it says in the manual that you can do it both ways. If it were to damage it then they probably would not put it as a way to open your Sidekick. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I open it from the bottom left. I mean last time when you kick something you don't kick it from the top you kick it from the bottom. LOL! 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
