New SK3 owner with MANY questions

I am currently a T-Mobile user, and my old phone (just a simple flip phone) broke. So I bought a decent sk3 off ebay. Because of this, I realize that I won't be able to use things like web browsing or messenger until my contract ends in May. I've read on the wiki site things about a MySpace App. Do you have to be capable of web browsing in order to download the MySpace app? I'm completely willing to pay the monthly fee, but is it even possible for me to get to it with out web browsing? I also read about a new sk3 update and my sk3 isn't updated.. once again do you have to have webrowsing to receive the update? And are there any other things I should be aware about that I can not do without web browsing? ANY HELP IS VERY VERY APPRECIATED! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Actually, you can add the Sidekick data feature for $19.99 anytime without changing your contract. You don't have to wait until your contract ends. I'm pretty sure you need the Sidekick data services to use the myspace app. The updates process automatically as needed. You may not get it immediately.Things you cannot do without web browsing: Everything (except make calls, send/receive text messages, and access offline applications on the SK3). I haven't had the opportunity to try it myself, but that seems to be the case. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

So I would have to pay $19.99 a month? Hmm Sounds worth it to me, since the sidekick sounds pretty useless without it. Thank you very much! Just to clarify: It doesn't matter if you have the data plan or not, you will autuomatically receive the sk3 update. Right? Do you find this valuable? |

You should still get the updates. One update set up the SK3 to have myFaves. However, you won't notice it unless your plan is myFaves--otherwise the Sidekick interface will look exactly the same.
