NEW STUFF!...... (i think)
i was lookin at other sites n playin wit my SK n i found sum pretty cool stuff: go 2 Menu>Settings>About Sidekick 2008> Menu+Shift+8. u will c at the top "snowbored", i think its a hiddin game. The 2nd thing i found might help alot of ppl here. Its a SK diagnostics test. it will resolve any probs wit trackball light, lcd light, sound and vibrations, bluetooth, sd card, sim card, ect. GO 2: Menu>Settings>System Info> and press Menu+Shift+D simutaniously. You can check any box in the diagnoses. I hope u found this helpfull! (cuz i type slower than ****).... lol

i tired it and it does ask are you sure and so i pressed erase and still it has the same login name... do i have to wait for some time or do i have to do something else to change the login name...??? please reply thanks!!!!

Lame images.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of the lame images associated to each function on the jump screen? For example, when the telephone ican is selected you see a person on the phone.

new trick for web browsing
in the web browser on you sk , press and hold menu and a to highlight web pages that u want 2 copy and paste in your notes or somewhere else.also works for email that u want 2 copy from your sk.

How 2 save web photos directly from your sk3,id,lx,and slide
press menu ,shift ,and the camera button if u own the 3,lx,or slide.for the id press menu ,shift,and hold the right shoulder button on your sidekick.

download backgrounds step by step
go to sk3themes for sk3, sklxthemes from sk LX...find a back ground...click download... save it to desktop....hook up ya usb from your pc to ya sidekick...right click the zipped folder that contains the background and select extract all and in the window click browse > my computer > next select the folder that has your sidekick connected to it. clicl=k on the file "themes" if you donr have one create one and extract all of the folder to your themes folder on your sidekick

They work with the LX Too.....
The same tricks work with the lx that work with the 3 except the blue trackball one(it just turs your scree white so it can be used as a light

I dont get why people aren't talking as much about the SKiD as the SK3 or LX. Personally, I think the iD is much better.

Don't worry there all official websites.
You can not add free themes to you sidekick id because your need a memory card for that. =(

its the same concept for the LX & Slide, just download LX *SPECIFIC* themes to your LX or Slide*SPECIFIC* themes to your Slide because a Slide theme would not work on an Sidekick LX or a Sidekick 3 theme to your LX. Well, not that i tried yet. lol. But if you mix them up, its not my fault i warned you it wont work or may damage your phone. i hope i helped out.

SKLX Tricks, Tips and Mods
I have been going through the list and almost all the old tricks for the SK3 work on the lx. So far i have only found a trick and a mod involving the mood lighting.
Menu+Shift+P
Pressing this activates the mood lighting. Pressing it again changes the sequence until it turns it off.
The mod involves soldering and if you look hard enough on the net you will find it. I wont be responsible for you destroying your new LX.
I will keep working on this and post my results frequently.
