Fix for ppl without a data plan using sidekicks??
Hey guys Tmobile is giving me a free sidekick 08 in exchange for my tmobile shadow (1st generation), without any contract extension. I am not on any contract right now and I have tried everything in my power to get the lowest prices on everything, and get as many months of free data as possible. They couldnt give me a discount rate, and gave me 2 free months of unlimited data.. after that I still have to pay $25/month, which I'm not planning on doing.
So, for all those people using sidekicks without data plans... what do you do? Is it very hard to use? I.e. when u take out the battery, everything is deleted on the phone and the sidekick tries to connect to danger's servers to re-sync all the information back onto it...but without data, u can't do that. Is there any fix for this? Please reply, thanks

why does AIM sign me out?
during school, I get no service (obviously)... and it signs me out during school, but it doesn't show me that I signed out, it restarts my session and in a way logs me out, then back in. why is this? I haven't had a problem with the sidekick 3 or lx, and neither has my friends... but I'm having the problem with my sidekick 2008. help, it's really annoying.

Cancel Data Plan?
Hello everyone. I was thinking of getting the Sidekick 2008, I know I have to buy it with a data plan...but after one month (or billing cycle, whatever you want to call it) can I cancel it? I know it's real stupid to have a Sidekick with no Data Plan, but it's way tooooo expensive and I already have internet so i don't need it. I want to cancel it after one month, is it possible, or not?

How do I change the bar at the top of my sidekick08 that says tmobile?
I've seen where some people have customized bars on their where tmobile is normally, does anyone know how to do this?

sidekick as prepaid
I know it is possible to use a Sidekick as a prepaid phone, and the slide is being sold as a prepaid right now.
I read somewhere that you need a Sidekick activation code for the sidekick plan if you're using an older sidekick, meaning, one from a sidekick prepaid package only, that you wouldn't be able to use an activation code from a standard prepaid handset package because it would give you a standard prepaid plan. Is this true? Because Tmobile's prepaid activation website [http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/activateprepaid.aspx?WT.mc_n=Prepaid_Activate&WT.mc_t=Other] has a 'Sidekick' plan option.
I am looking to purchase a used Sidekick 3 and then a standard 1208 prepaid Nokia for the sim and activation code if it would work.

New SK3 owner with MANY questions
I am currently a T-Mobile user, and my old phone (just a simple flip phone) broke. So I bought a decent sk3 off ebay. Because of this, I realize that I won't be able to use things like web browsing or messenger until my contract ends in May.
I've read on the wiki site things about a MySpace App. Do you have to be capable of web browsing in order to download the MySpace app? I'm completely willing to pay the monthly fee, but is it even possible for me to get to it with out web browsing?
I also read about a new sk3 update and my sk3 isn't updated.. once again do you have to have webrowsing to receive the update?
And are there any other things I should be aware about that I can not do without web browsing?
ANY HELP IS VERY VERY APPRECIATED!

Sidekick slowdowns
Has anyone have their Sidekick 3 slow down or freeze dramatically all the time when the memory card is inserted? This only happens to me when I copied about 1.5 GBs worth of files on my 2 GB miniSD card.
