i have t-mobile sidekick 2008 i have problem of having an automatic connectivity of GPRS how can i make it turn off can anybody tell me ???? my balance is gettin deducted unnecessarily?

Sidekick data not working
Hi I wanted to put my sim back in my old sidekick 2008 to use it for a bit but when I put it in, it doesn't get my data service, which yes I have because I have a Mytouch 4g and it works in there, any tips?

Problems with Sidekick 2008
Yesterday, I plugged in a Sidekick 2008 and left it charging for a while. The orange light does come on. I checked on it and give me the low battery message. I checked back on it the next day and the same thing happened. Then, I switched it from a BlackBerry charger to a Motorola charger and it turned on. So, I took it off the charger, shut it off, and took out the battery in order to get my SIM card in. Now, it won't turn on at all. I put it to charge for several hours and it won't do anything. Not even the low battery screen. What can I do?

Sidekick 2008 charger problems and signaling problems
Hi. My sidekick has been having problems lately. When the phone has only 1 bar of battery left, it cuts off the signal. I do not know why. And there are times I charged the whole night but the battery drowned within 2 hours. I did nothing during that time except for send 3 or 4 texts and talk on the phone for 7 minutes. I don't know what is going on. Sometimes, it has 3 bars of battery left and it automatically shuts off. And when I turn it back on, it says the "your battery is low...." And also, my sidekick had the battery problem last year so I called the customer service and they tell me that I need a new battery. So I bought a new battery. And it works again for couple months, but now I can't use the phone! Help! Does anybody have this problem? Please tell me what I should do.

My sidekick 2008 stuff is all gone!
I have a sidekick 2008. Yesterday my mom took off the internet plan off my phone. This morning ever since my contacts have been gone. And my phone wont make a noise when I get messeges only calls. And I've checked that my volume is up.

Driving Directions on Sidekick 2008!?! (Google Maps, Mapquest, Etc)
Help!!
In the bookmarks of my Sidekick 08 it lists Mapquest, and online it says I can use Google Maps with my Sidekick 08. However, NO map-type-site that I've been to (MapQuest, Google Maps, Yahoo! Maps, Etc) works! They just endlessly say 'running scripts' or show very patchy frames.
Is there a site I can visit to get driving directions? Or something I can download to make these sites work??

How Do You Save a Theme to your memory card on your Sidekick 2008?
1. connect your sidekick to the computer via USB
-the autoplay screen is going to pop up. it has a list of things to do.. what your going to click on is open folder to view files. You will see it say exactly this
DCIM
Music
2. Next ceate another folder called Themes where you see the DCIM and Music folder. [right click go down to new, and click new folder]
-You HAVE to name the folder Themes
EXACTLY the way i spelled it with the capital T.
3. Next go to sklxthemes.com
you can browse through the themes until you find the one or ones you like.
Download them to a new folder anywhere on your computer as long as you can find that folder. --Now comes the tricky part-
4. Now go to where you downloaded the theme and your going to do 1 of 3 things.
-If the theme is a zip file:
your going to right click and extract all. If you cannot extract all what you do is go to this website http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm
download the winzip program. This program is to unzip the file so you can view it on your sidekick.
Then your going to follow the directions for winzip, there pretty easy. As i said before, you have to know where you saved the sidekick theme. So DO NOT FORGET!
Once your file is unzipped you going to double click it.
Now, if you double click it and it takes you to another folder then your going to copy the file and paste it into the themes folder that you made earlier(the folder where the DCIM, and Music folders are, on your sidekick memory card). But, if there is only one folder than you dont have to worry about that. But make sure you double click to see if there is a folder inside of a folder, because the inside folder is what you need and if you keep the outside folder it will not work.

my contacts aren't getting updated :l
i just got my sidekick and when i try to add my contacts, they're there,
however when i get text msgs they don't show the names--just the numbers.
anyone know how to fix this ? D:

Sidekick 2008 Texting help
I have an unlocked Sidekick 2008 that I am using with AT&T service & I am not getting notifications when I receive a text - I've checked all the settings, etc & they're good.
I'm wondering if it has to do with the phone being unlocked - Can anyone tell me if there's a workaround?

the shells are not.
this includes, the phone with battery (will send with full charge, for instant use!), black/green(gekko) shell, 512mb memory card, wall and car charger. also comes with the box with all the manuals, the only thing i don't have is the headphones. but if i come across them they'll be thrown in as well.
i am switching service providers due to my family, not my choice :(

Hello all,
Are there any compatible systems that will let me flash the sidekick. I didn't realize that I couldn't seperate the web and text package....like totally a lamo for not knowing right...okay....but I wanna be able to afford my bill cheaper...you guys understand right. Please someone help me out here!!!!!!!!!

Okay this is a complicated question
Okay... So I have the sidekick 2008 and I love it. I really wish that I could plug it on my car radio so that I can listen to my music in my sidekick in my car but the problem is that the cord that I have that normally plugs my mp3 into my car radio is too thick like normal earphones and the sidekick earphones is thiner so is there a certain type of adapter that you buy for something like that? If yes then what is it called and where can I find it.

my sidekick 2008 keeps randomly turning off and deleting everything...
i dare you to solve this for me
when i first got it
it would randomly flip out and go to reboot mode and when i tried to press the reboot button it would just go right back to the screen so i had no choice but to take out the battery for a few seconds and turning it back on
problem is, when i did that, all my contacts and texts would get deleted, and my settings (ringtone settings, background, theme, etc) so i'd have to set everything back to how it was, and wait for my contacts to be restored. my texts would sometimes get restored but they would be texts that were a couple weeks old, never the ones that were in my inbox when they got deleted.
alright.
i got a new battery because that phone stopped working all together, so they sent me a new phone and a new battery.
it stopped doing the reboot thing, so i think it was the battery that time.
but today it did it again. but it didn't even go to reboot. it just shut off all together.
nothing is coming back this time. my contacts and everything else is gone.
i've tried taking out the battery for a good 5 mins and putting it back in. i've tried having it off the charger, having it on the charger, having it on, having it off, holding "w" and rebooting it manually, taking out the SIM card and putting it back in, taking out the memory card and putting it back in........
