Just yesterday, for no obvious reason, my Sidekick LX has started 3 new problems.
-Text message inbox only lists numbers, doesn't recognize the numbers I have saved and list the name instead. -No sound or vibrating alert when I receive a text message, even though I have checked the settings. -And will not access the internet. I have tried taking the battery out, taking the sim card out, and nothing works. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

ok so i heard i need to get a replacement sidekick since my screen turned black and cant see anything, so how would i go about doing ths, bought it about a year ago idk if its still under warranty, thanks

Ok. I bought an "unlocked" sidekick from Ebay in july. He said that i could put in any simcard and it would work. I live in Norway so it took a while before i got my Sidekick lx 09.
When i realised that it did'nt accept my simcard i bought the code for my IMEI # for 80$. And after a month i got the code for the phone. I asked the one who sold it , why he said that it was unlocked. And he said it was unlocked in USA. Ok so i'm trying to unlock the sim. I have a prepaid simcard from Norway, (we have the same GSM as in USA). And i know it would work. Everytime i put in my simcard it says: push your pin. and when i push the pin everything is "OK" But when i do everything they say i have to , to unlock the phone . It starts to Authenticate, and turns it self off EVERYTIME! Why does my phone authenticate and shut down. Where can push in the special IMEI code i bought? I know everything that they ask me to do, but i dont get the chance to push the imei special code. Can u help me pleaaaaaase. I've had this phone for almost 3 months and it's not working.

I have at&t as my carrier. I put in my SIM card, but the screen says it is waiting for activation..I can not do anything with the phone right now, but I have recieved incoming calls and voice mails. How can I get past "waiting to activate"?

Every once and a while my sidekick LX09 will randomly shut itself down and when i turn it back on, it doesnt have any of my information in it. From my contacts, my text/pic messages, my calander and even my ringer settings are all gone. 'Normally' they will come back within a day or so, but this time they haven't. Its been 4 days and I'm still without. I've tried a soft reset, taking out the battery, checking the sim card, letting the battery drain, then recharging it..and still nothing. I'm not sure what to do..All of my photos are available..and the internet and such doesn't work either! Help! Pleaseee!

I just got a sidekick lx 2009 unlocked and am using it in Canada. I love it, but just today it keeps giving me alerts. I have checked my inboxes and there is nothing, I checked my alarm settings and there is nothing set up. I don't know why I'm getting these alerts. they happen about every 20 mins. or so. Please help me.

okay so i bought my new unlocked sim card from ebay and i put in a new sim card from t mobile and my sidekick lx wont read the sim card!! It tells me that there is a hardware problem Code: NET7 to contact t mobile customer service and i did and the guy couldnt do anything for me!! What can i do to fix the problem??

Is there a way to set up my tmail.com account in MS Outlook (or in GMail) so it will get the mail? I know how to set up other email accounts on my Sidekick, but I'd like to do the reverse and set up the Sidekick mail in MS Outlook on my home computer(not MS Exchange). If so, what Server Name and Port do I use in the settings. Also, for User Name, do I use my phone number like I use when logging into the t-mobile.com page?

I have been infatuated with the sidekick since it has been around but never made the purchase because I was to cheap (lol). Now that I can afford one I am torn between the older versions and the newer. I spoke with T-Mobile and found out the older versions are not offered. I have a choice between the 2008 and the newer LX. , would love to purchase the Motorola Slide . In you opinion would it be best to get the newer models ,even though I have found a place that would fix the older versions if I had any issues.

Pleeeeeeeease help me!!!! When I got my phone everything was great, I popped in my sim card and everything was still great. But when I clicked on contacts, idk if the page was slow or something, but the images went whacko!! So I just popped out the battery. Now everytime I turn it on; no images pop up just the white light -.- what can I do to get the images back?!!!!

my aim was working fine this morning
but then it siqns me out and says that i siqn in too frequently and to try later i waited about an hour and 1/2 and its still saying the same thing why is it doing this ?
