The "Play Queue" is the song currently playing plus the list of songs waiting to play. The Play Queue can have one song, multiple songs, playlists, albums, or artists queued to play, but altogether everything in line to play is referred to as the Play Queue. There is only one Play Queue at any one time. Scroll below to learn more about:

Add Songs to Your Play Queue
To add a song, album, artist, genre, or composer to the Play Queue:

  1. Use the TRACKBALL to navigate to the song, artist, album, genre, or composer and highlight it. (You can select multiple songs, artists, albums, genres, or composers by using the multiselection method.

  2. You can either add songs to an existing queue of songs, or replace the current queue of songs with the selected songs:

    • Press the trackball to remove the currently queued songs and add the selected songs.
    • Press and hold the TRACKBALL to keep the currently queued songs and add the selected songs. Alternatively you can press MENU Add Songs to Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Queue Song, Album, Artist, Genre, or Composer [ Add Songs to Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick Q]. To add all the songs contained in the current list view, scroll up to highlight the title bar, then press and hold the TRACKBALL.

    Note: If you simply press (not press and hold) the TRACKBALL with songs selected, they will replace the current songs in the Play Queue instead of being added.

View All Songs in Your Play Queue
To view the songs in your Play Queue, press MENU View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select View > Queue [ View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 0]. From this view you can take the following actions on your Play Queue:


  • Clear Play Queue of all songs waiting- toPress play.MENU TheView All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Clear Play Queue. can
  • Move havesong onewithin song,the multiplePlay songs,Queue playlists,- albums,Press MENU View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Move Song [ View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick M].

  • Remove playing or artistshighlighted queuedsong tofrom play,Play butQueue altogether- everythingPress MENU View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Remove Song from Queue [ View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick].

  • Create a playlist from the Play Queue

  • Add the songs in lineyour Play Queue to playan isexisting referredplaylist - Press MENU View All Songs in Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Add to asPlaylist. Select a playlist from the submenu.

Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue

You can create a playlist from your current Play Queue:

  1. Press MENU Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select View > Queue [ Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 0] to view your Play Queue.

  2. Press MENU Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Save Play Queue [ Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick S].
  3. A dialog opens, prompting you to name your new playlist.

  4. After typing a name, select Create Create a Playlist from Your Play Queue-Sidekick LX - Sidekick. There may be a slight delay while the playlist is onlysaved. one

Now all the songs in your Play Queue atare anysaved oneto time.a playlist you can play anytime.
