If you have a Hotmail or MSN email address, you can sign in to Windows Live Messenger.

Note: You can use any email address with Windows Live Messenger, but if it's not an MSN or Hotmail address, then before signing in on your device, you must register this address at www.msn.com.

  1. From the Sidekick Jump screen, select the Instant Messaging category. From the second-level Jump ring, select Windows Live Messenger. The Sign In screen appears.

  2. Type your Email Address and Password in the fields on your Sidekick. To save yourself the trouble of typing these again, select the Save Password check box.

  3. Scroll to highlight the Sign In button, then press the TRACKBALL.

  4. The first time you sign in to Windows Live Messenger with that name, you will be asked to read a Terms of Use dialog box. Read the terms, then select I Agree.

  5. This email address will now appear in the Email Address pop-up menu.
