How To Add Videos On Your SideKick 2008
1. Download Free Youtube to Ipod Converter
Link:
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/download/FreeYouTubeToiPodConverter.exe
2. Open the converter and Add a Youtube link to it. For Example…This random video I chose!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4UuTiK4a7o&fmt=18
(Now notice, that in the end of the link theres a “&fmt=18″. That is very important and It must be there, If it isn’t then add it onto the link”
Simply place that in the Input URL.
3. Select the Output.
Click Devices, Choose MP4 Mobile Phones, and select The Standard Quality. Then just simply edit where you want the video to be downloaded to and the name you want it to have and just download it.
4. Plug in your phone through the USB connector to your pc, and open the Music Folder. Simply click and drag the video in there.
5. Unplug your USB, and check your Music Player library, and there should be a video in the videos tab. Just click and viola
.
Build your own Sidekick Screen Saver For Your Sidekick
Section 1:
Loading and Setting Screen Savers in 10 Steps!
If you want to load a screen saver from a computer start at step one. if you want to put an image already on the sidekick go to step 6.
Step One: find a screen saver you want to use. You can use any image as a screen saver I recommend using a premade screen saver or requesting a custom one be made for you because certain images will not look right due to their size. Once you have located an image….
Step Two: Plug the USB cord into the sidekick or remove the memory card and put it in a memory card reader. Wait for a screen on your computer to ask you what you want to do next. Scroll down and select ‘open folder to view files’ and hit ‘ok’.
Step Three: Now select the DCIM folder which should be displayed in the window that opened.
Step Four: Go to the image you want to use as a screen saver and right click it then select ‘copy’ then go back to the folder named “DCIM” folder and press ‘ctrl + v’
Step Five: Unplug the USB cord
Step Six: Go to the sidekick and hit JUMP then press and select ’settings’ then ‘keyguard and security’
Step Seven: Press enter or click the scroll wheel and then highlighting the ‘mountain with a camera’ logo then pressing enter or clicking the scroll wheel.
Step Eight: Go to ‘Memory Card Album’ and press enter. Scroll to the image you want and select it by clicking the scroll wheel.
Step Nine: Now press DONE two times
Step Ten: Test the new screen saver by activating your keyguard. Press and hold until the screen saver appears.
Note: Pressing and at the same time while your phone is keyguarded will light your phone up so you can see your screen saver.
Section 2:
Creating your own background
Step One: Open a new file in any image editor, i recommend photoshop and make the image size 240px by 160px.
Step Two: Import images and edit them on the canvas.
Step Three: Save the image as a .jpg to your computer.
Step Four: Go to section 1 of this page to set the screen saver on your sidekick.
