Set Email Ringtones This is a featured page

You can select if and how your device lets you know (or "notifies" you) when a new email message has arrived. If you turn on notifications (explained below), you will receive a balloon notification in the title bar (shown below) and a ringtone will play when you receive a new message.
Set Email Ringtones - Sidekick

  1. From the Browse Email screen, press MENU Set Email Ringtones - Sidekick then select Settings > General. The General Settings screen appears.
  2. Look for the group box that reads New message alert.

As long as you have a ringtone selected, you'll hear this ringtone when you receive a new email message. You'll receive this and the balloon notification no matter what screen you're viewing or application you're in (except no balloon notifications will appear while you're playing games). If you do not want a ringtone to play or a balloon notification to appear, select None from the pop-up menu.

  3. If you want to change the default ringtone, select a notification "category" from the pop-up menu, then roll the TRACKBALL right to open the submenu of "songs".
    Set Email Ringtones - Sidekick
You will hear a preview of the song as you highlight it. Press the TRACKBALL to select the song. You can also Record New Ringtone by selecting that option.

  1. Press DONE Set Email Ringtones - Sidekick when you're finished with your settings. If you don't want to save the changes, press CANCEL Set Email Ringtones - Sidekick .
