We are currently working on a ringtone generator so LX09 users can upload a song and crop 1-10 sec long and we will covert it to the right format so you then can email the song to the sidekick to save as a ringtone. How awsome is that.

We are being forced into buying tmobile ringtones are rediculously overpriced and limited. You cant transfer ringtones from ther phones with bluetooth, you cant set the mp3 music as ringtones. What do u have to do to get some cool ringtones like everyone else.

ok since the slide is not by sharp but motorola can u doenload ringtones to it by bluetooth or myxer

I set all of my contacts up with personalised ringtones, and my phone doesn't play the right ones when they call! They play random ones. When I go check the settings in the address book, each contact still says it's assigned the proper tone. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? I bought all these awesome ringtones and they play randomly :\ it's annoying!!!

I've been away from the catalogue for a while but when I pulled it up yesterday I see this new app for download for you to mix beats for your own ringtones. Has anyone else downloaded it? Is it worth the $499 they charge? Just sucks because my old phones had this type of ringtone software 6 years ago!!!!!

Hey, yo, etc.
So i know that getting free ringtones for your SK is completely out of the question, but is there somewhere that you can make them, & pay for them. cus im down with that. i have an '08, and i just wish it was more flexible. ugh.

Is there a website that will let me preview the songs in the download catalog? Sometimes while I am trying to preview songs it either takes too long or doesn't load and it is just annoying. I am sure regular non sidekick users have a ringtone webpage or something right?

Two steps you will need to do to work magic. Download one theme to your phone. Make sure it includes hinge open close music. If you want to add your favorite jpeg to your theme you must convert it to a png. The software is free. Once the pic is converted, name it and move it into the theme folder that you have already downloaded. To add hinge music from your favorite mp3, you must do two things: convert your mp3 to a wav and edit about 2 seconds of your song with dinowave software. Both softwares are free to download. Add your 2 sec wav to the same theme folder you added your png. You should see them side by side in the same folder with your downloaded theme's images and music.
Last part, open your notepad. Very short and easy progranming language (english) so the rest is simple. Just sub the name of your wav with the wav of the downloaded theme and sub the name of your png with the png that is there and wella your pic will be your new background and your favorite musical excerpt will be played when you open and close your hinge

does anyone one here know how to set a ringtone for the sidekick id? i downloaded some ringtones and i know how to set personal ringtones for certain contacts but i dont know how to set the general one. the manual says to go to menu-settings-general but my sidekick id doesnt have general under my settings. if ne one can help itd be wonderful =) thanks!

Okay so i understand there are no such thing as free ringtones for the sidekick but what about those packages where you pay for them. Are you able to get those or no, since most are the ones you download by text or website? Anyone with information let me know, cause the Catalog is very limited and there a bunch of ringtones I want that they don't have.
