An overview of Playlists on the Sidekick LX


View Your Playlists
To view your playlists, press MENU View Your Playlists-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select View > Playlists [ View Your Playlists-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 9]. Your playlists display in the order created, most recent at the top. +

Create a Playlist
  1. From the Browse Music screen, navigate to a song, artist, album, genre, or composer you want in a playlist.

  2. With the song, artist, album, genre, or composer highlighted, press MENU Create a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Add to Playlist > New Playlist [ Create a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick N].

  3. Give your new playlist a name in the dialog box that opens.

  4. Select Create Create a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick to save the playlist. There may be a slight delay while the playlist is saved.

Now your newly-created playlist will be included in the Playlists category on the Browse Music screen.

Rename a Playlist
Once you create a playlist, you can change its name:

  1. Go to your list of playlists by pressing MENU Rename a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 9.

  2. Rename your playlist by pressing MENU Rename a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and selecting Edit > Rename Playlist [ Rename a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick E].

  3. The Rename Playlist dialog box opens. Type the New Name in the text field.

  4. Select Rename Rename a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick.

Move a Song in a Playlist

  1. Go to your list of playlists by pressing MENU Move a Song in a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 9.

  2. Select the playlist to view the list of songs.

  3. Highlight the song you want to move. Press MENU Move a Song in a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Move Song [ Move a Song in a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick M].

  4. Roll the TRACKBALL to position the song in the list.

  5. Press the TRACKBALL to save its location in the playlist.

Remove Songs from a Playlist
  1. Go to your list of playlists by pressing MENU Remove Songs from a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 9.

  2. Highlight the playlist that contains the song(s) you want to remove, then press the TRACKBALL.

  3. Highlight the song(s) you want to remove.

  4. Press MENU Remove Songs from a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Remove from Playlist [ Remove Songs from a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick Remove Songs from a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick].

  5. The song is removed from the list.

Add Songs to a Playlist
  1. Navigate to a view with a song, artist, album, genre, or composer that you want to add to a playlist.

  2. Select the item (or items) you want to add.

  3. Press MENU Add Songs to a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Add ... to Playlist.

  4. Select an option (an existing playlist or create a new one) from the submenu.

Discard a Playlist
  1. Go to your list of playlists by pressing MENU Discard a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick 9.

  2. Highlight the playlist you want to discard from the list.

  3. Press MENU Discard a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick and select Edit > Discard Playlist [ Discard a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick Discard a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick]. A confirmation dialog appears; select Discard to permanently remove the playlist; select Back Discard a Playlist-Sidekick LX - Sidekick to keep the playlist afterall.
