Mini Player Basics
You can control song play from anywhere on the device by opening the mini player. Simply press JUMP + DONE and the mini player will open. If you have no songs queued to play, simply press the TRACKBALL to start playing the first song in your Library and add all the songs in your Library to the Play Queue. Use the standard controls, plus the D-PAD:

• Pause/resume song play - or D-PAD up
  
  
• Go to beginning of current song/play previous song - or D-PAD left
  
  
• Play next song - or D-PAD right
  
  
• View Play Queue - D-PAD down

Go to Any Point in a Song (Scrubbing)
You can only fast forward or rewind to a particular point in a song with the mini player open.

1. If the mini player is not already open, press JUMP + DONE .
   
   
2. Roll the TRACKBALL up to highlight the song title bar.
   
3. Press the TRACKBALL to switch to "scrubber" mode.
   
4. The row of bars is referred to as the "scrubber bar". The highlighted bar indicates the progress of your currently-playing song. Roll the TRACKBALL right to fast forward, left to rewind.
   
5. To exit scrubber mode, press DONE .
   
   

Note: If you attempt to scrub a song and find that play jumps to the next song, you most likely have an .MP3 file that is missing the table of contents information in the file header.

Navigating Songs in the Play Queue
To step through the songs in the Play Queue, or to select a particular song to play:

1. Press JUMP + DONE if the mini player is not already open.
   
   
2. To skip to the previous song, do one of the following:
   
   
   • press the D-PAD left
     
     
   • press the LEFT SHOULDER button, or
     
   • select on the mini player
     
     
3. To skip to the next song, do one of the following:
   
   
   
   • press the D-PAD right
     
     
   • press the RIGHT SHOULDER button, or
     
     
   • select on the mini player.
     
     
4. To jump to the Play Queue list of songs, select select on the mini player. Scroll through the list; when you locate the song you want to play, press the TRACKBALL to begin play.
