I jost bought an unlocked sidekick LX 2009. The problem i have is that the categories and labels i create disappear when i turn the phone off.... any help?

the subject says it dude.. i also just changed the screen, cause my other one was broken..
but ive always had this problem, but do you think it could be my new screen? i dont think it is..
but are their any other ways to turn it on?
like plugging it into a USB port on my laptop, would that work?
