You must set up a filter, which is easy to do. Just follow these instructions:
- Open the Intellisync client on your desktop, then click the Set Up button.
- On the Configuration Settings page that opens, click Configure Applications to open the Configuration dialog box.
- Select the Address Book check box, then click the Advanced button to open the Advanced Settings for Address Book dialog box.
- Click the Filters tab, then click the New button.
- In the Filter Name dialog box that opens, type a filter name that is descriptive (such as M-LastName for this exercise), then click OK.
- On the Filter dialog box that opens, make sure the Conditions tab is selected. Fill in the dialog box as follows:
- In the Field drop-down menu, select the Last Name field.
- In the Operator drop-down menu, select starts with.
- In the Value field, type M.
Click
Add to List. The filter condition moves to the lower pane:

- Click the Rules tab and make sure that the All conditions must be met option is selected, then click OK.

- On the Advanced Settings for Address Book dialog box, make sure your new filter name is selected, then click OK to dismiss the dialog box.
- On the Configuration dialog box, make sure that Address Book is checked and selected, then click Choose.
- In the Choose Translator dialog box that opens, make sure the MS Outlook filter is selected and that Synchronize is the selected operation. Click OK to dismiss the dialog box.
- On the Configuration Settings dialog box, click Save.
- On the Main Intellisync window, click Sync.
