How to search for songs in the music libraryThis is a featured page

This page describes how to search for songs in the music library.

To search your Library for a particular song or songs by a particular artist, do the following from the top-level Browse Music screen:

  1. Start typing the song or artist you want to find, or press MENU How to search for songs in the music library - Sidekick and select Search Library [How to search for songs in the music library - Sidekick F].
  2. The Search pane opens.

  3. Type a complete or partial song title or artist name. (The search will resolve on any part of a title or name.) As you type, your list of songs will shorten to those that match.
  4. If you've ended your search by resolving on the artist name, select any song in the list to clear the current Play Queue and add the entire list of songs by that artist to the Queue. If you've ended your search by resolving on a single song title, when you find your song, highlight it and press the TRACKBALL. The current Play Queue will clear and the song you selected will be added. (If more than one song is shown in the search results list, all songs will be added to the Play Queue when you select one of the songs.)
