This page describes how to access the text messaging splash screen.

To open the Text Messaging application, first press JUMP then roll the TRACKBALL until you highlight the Phone Messaging icon in the left-hand "ring" of applications. Press or roll the TRACKBALL right to open the second-level ring of applications, then highlight Text Messaging. The Text Messaging "splash" screen will appear on the right: The splash screen shows all your unread text messages in the order received, with the message received most recently on top. Press the TRACKBALL to open the Text Messaging application and view the Browse Messages screen.

Note: Text messages are delivered via the "Short Message Service", also referred to simply as "SMS".
