How to perform a master reset - Sidekick iDThis is a featured page

Master Reset:
  1. Press the Jump button to access the Jump screen.
  2. Select to Menu,Settings,System Info.
  3. Press Menu + Shift + X simultaneously.
    This prompts you to erase Flash Memory.
  4. Select Yes.
  5. From the same screen, press Menu + Shift + R simultaneously.
    This prompts you to erase Sign-In Information.
  6. Select Yes.
  7. Insert a paper clip in the reset hole while holding down the Power button
    The device vibrates if done correctly.

  • NOTE: A master reset restores the original factory settings and can erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, camera images, contacts stored in the handset memory, and Java™ applications. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available). Back up all necessary data on the handset memory before proceeding.
