This page will help you with the groups list and how to create them. You use "groups" to organize your friends, much like you use folders to organize your email messages.

To add a new group to your Friend List, do the following while in the Yahoo! Messenger application:

1. If your Friend List isn't displayed, press DONE until it appears.
2. Scroll to highlight one of the existing groups, then press MENU and select Add Group [ N]. The New Group dialog box opens.
   
3. Type the new group in the Name field.
4. Select DONE . The group is added to your list. Note that if you do not add a friend to this group, the next time you sign out, the group will be removed.
