Using e-mail on your Sidekick 3

When you first power on and register your Sidekick device, you automatically receive a personal Sidekick e-mail account. Your Sidekick e-mail account is available immediately on your device and from the e-mail application on the desktop interface. You can also add up to three Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) or Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) e-mail accounts. Additional e-mail accounts can be fetched and administered from the device or the desktop interface.

How to force fetch POP3, IMAP, and @tmail.com accounts to get most recent e-mail

How to change my tmail e-mail address

Community tip: A good way to prevent spam is to avoid putting your full Sidekick e-mail address on public sites (blogs, forums, etc.) without some kind of obfusication (such as, cooldude AT sidekick DOT com). Spam robots trawl the net looking to harvest addresses and sign them up, but they often can't figure out simple changes like that. Or, another option is to add obvious extra words, such as cooldudeNOSPAMPLEASE@sidekick.com, where a human would see to remove the capitalized letters to get cooldude's address.

I received a gmail warning that a suspicious logon to may account was from a mobile in NY. Is it possible that this is the danger server accessing my gmail account? I did access my gmail from sidekick the day of the warning.

i just got a sidekick slide and tried using the tmail. I dont have data services. I sent a message to my gmail account to see if it worked but it didnt. then I did some searching and found out my phone number is my tmail account so i sent a email from my gmail to my phone number@@tmomail.net and it worked but instead of it coming up under the email tab in tmail it came as a text message. I could only reply in text message. also it didnt have my gmail account name as the send just some numbers. also my tmail on the sidekick says my tmail email address is ZGTH. thats it. is this how it is supposed to work? or am I doing something wrong. thanks for the help.
