buttons. You can "rock" the D-PAD in four directions: up, down, left, right. In general, rocking the D-PAD gives you the same results as rolling the TRACKBALL up, down, left, right. You can use the D-PAD to navigate while playing games, to scroll down a screen line-by-line, and to navigate within "text fields".
