Your device comes with a display lid that covers the keyboard in the closed position. Even when closed, the LCD faces up and the control buttons are exposed so you can use your device. Read more details below. Warning! The device contains a very strong magnet. Be careful to keep the device away from magnetically-sensitive items, such as credit cards, tickets with magnetic strips, and magnetic hotel room keys. Protect the display from scratches by always using the carrying case to transport your device. The screen on your device is coated with a protective layer of polycarbonate. You can safely use warm soapy water, denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt and smudges from your screen. Be sure to use a very soft cotton cloth, such as an old t-shirt, to prevent scratching when wiping the screen. Note: When in very cold or hot temperatures, the display may darken. To remedy the situation, bring your device to normal room temperature. Opening and Closing the Display Do not open or close the display in the wrong direction as this may damage your device. Stop if you feel any resistance; the display should spring smoothly into position:
To open the display, press your left thumb on the lower-left corner of the display and gently push up in a clockwise direction. The display will spring smoothly into the open position.
Alternatively, use your right index finger to push down gently on the upper-right corner of the display. The screen will spring into the open position.
The normal operating position of the device is horizontal, with the trackball on the right.
To close the display, reverse the motion to pivot the display counter-clockwise and snap it into the closed position.
