Heres how you get the symbols...


Step 1. First you will need to highlight the symbols...press and hold down SHIFT and then press an arrow on the DPAD or roll your trackball in the direction you would like to highlight.
(Everything thats highlighted will have a black background and the text will turn white)

Step 2. Now you need to COPY what you've highlighted...press MENU and the letter C together. (Just like Control + C lets you "copy" on your computer)

Step 3. Now you need to find a place to paste and save them! The best place to save them is in your NOTES, so you can add each individual symbol you want. Open a new note and press MENU and the letter V together to paste your symbols.

Step 4. From the jump screen, press MENU > SETTINGS > AUTOTEXT

Step 5. Once inside your auto text, press MENU then select NEW RULE

Step 6. Now in the second box (closest to your right hand), copy (Menu + C) and paste (Menu + V) your desired symbol.

Step 7. Now in the first box, type the abbreviation you would like to use for that symbol. For example, I placed a black star in the right box and the letters "bs" (for "black star") in the left box; so whenever I type those letters and then the space bar, my black star appears!

You might want to open a new note or text message and try it out.
