Contact a Contact-Sidekick LXThis is a featured page

Using stored contact information on your Sidekick LX, you can quickly communicate with a contact by phone, email, text, or IM message; or send the contact information as a vCard:

  1. From the Browse Contacts screen, highlight the name of the contact with whom you wish to communicate.

  2. Press and hold the TRACKBALL to open the context menu on your Sidekick LX. Scroll to highlight one of the following, then press to initiate the highlighted action. Note that if you have more than one email, IM, text, or MMS address stored for a contact, the menu will list all possible choices.

    • Call phone number (label) - Switch to the Phone application and place a call to your contact.
    • Email address (label) - Switch to the Email application and compose an email to that contact on your Sidekick LX.
    • IM name - Open an IM conversation with that contact. If you are not logged in to the IM client, then the appropriate log-in screen will appear.
    • Text phone number (label) - Switch to the Text Messaging application and compose a text message to send to that contact.
    • Go to URL- Switch to the Web Browser application and open the contact's Web page on your Sidekick LX.
    • Look up address - Switch to the Web Browser application and open a map to the address.
    • vCard - Set or clear "My vCard", or send contact information in the form of a vCard via Email, Text Messaging, or Bluetooth.

You can always use Sidekick menu or the details themselves to perform these actions from the Contact Details screen, assuming you have the relevant contact information highlighted when opening the menu.
