Once you select a contact from the Browse Contacts screen, their "Contact Details" screen opens. From this screen you can quickly communicate with that contact using any of the information you've stored on your Sidekick LX.

Communicate with a Contact

You can quickly send an email, instant message, text message, or place a call to a contact from a contact's "Details" screen:
  1. Go to the Address Book and select a contact with the TRACKBALL. Their Contact Details screen opens.
  2. The Contact Details screen lists all the information that you have stored for this contact: phone numbers, email addresses, IM screen names, Web sites, physical addresses, and possibly a note.
  3. To open a communication with this contact, highlight the phone number or address of interest, then press the TRACKBALL to select it. The logical thing happens:
    • Selecting an email address opens a compose screen on your Sidekick LX.
    • Selecting and IM screen name opens a conversation with that contact.
    • Selecting a Web address opens that page in the Web Browser.
    • Selecting a physical address opens a map to that address in the Web Browser.
    • Selecting a phone number opens a context menu with the options to place a call, send a text message, or send a photo (via MMS) to that number.

Note: With a contact detail highlighted, you can copy the information toon your Sidekick clipboard by pressing MENUsidekick2 - Animals C.

Add or Edit Contact Details

If you want to add information for a contact, or want to edit any of the contact details already stored, select the Edit buttonContact Details Screen-Sidekick LX - SidekickMENUsidekick2 - Animals E. This will open the Edit Contact Details screen.
