so if i have at&t and got a sidekick i could call and text only? Could i use the camera and bluetooth? Please help! I want a sidekick so bad. And cant change to T-Mobile. Thanks!

I heard you can unlock a phone if you call the service the phone belonged to and ask them for the unlock code. Also I saw on different websites you could send out the phone to have specialist unlock it for you. But I don't know myself. I tried to unlock a phone from cingular but it was such a hassle, I gave up.

Not really - there are some people and ebay sellers out there who will offer to unlock your phone for a price, but really be careful of those because I haven't heard of one that was verified yet to be legit.

furthermore, even if you COULD unlock it, the only features that would be usable on any other network would be the phone itself (voice) and text messaging.

The data side is tied into the carrier the phone was created for so it wouldn't do you any good, you wouldn't be able to browse, download games, email or anything other than phone and text messaging.
